My daughters and I have 8 sponsor kids:
Mwanza will be 14 on Jaden's birthday - Zambia
Diego will be 12 in 2 weeks - Colombia
Yessica will be 11 on August 9th - Guatemala
Jonathan is 10 - Ecuador
Dulce is 9 - Dominican Republic
Henry is 8 - Colombia
Leydi just turned 8 on June 1st - Dominican Republic
Brayan is 6- Mexico
Paola is our youngest sponsor child, as you can see.
Now, I am going to try to explain what I do for work. I will start with the simplest things:
1. I am an independent contractor and do audits, merchandising, etc on an assignment by assignment basis. One of my ongoing assignments is to audit Best Buy stores. I audit 4 stores a month.
2. I am a newborn photographer at the hospital. I go from room to room on the maternity ward taking pictures of the babies & trying to convince their parents to buy. This job has a high employee turn over rate. I am now working by myself 7 days out of the week until they can get new people trained. Of the last three people they hired last month, all three have already quit. It is a lot of pressure on me to train & then, work after the mess that the new people leave me.
3. I am going for an interview today for a part-time merchandising position to set up displays of Disney DVD's in stores in the area.
I am very excited to be a part of this group that is giving another child a chance at a better life. I look forward to meeting everyone!
Heather
